About Anjuli
Anjuli is a deaf creative based out of Little Rock, AR, USA. She mainly focuses on fashion and beauty content with advice and tips on how to be the main character of your life.
As the first born daughter of the only black family in her small town in Pennsylvania, Anjuli had a lot to learn when it came to self love, boundaries, and the art of "people-ing". It wasn't until she made the purposeful decision to attend college in Missouri where she'd be surrounded by more black people, that she started to learn how to love the skin she's in. But wasn't until she moved herself to Arkansas where she met likeminded alternative black women, where she learned to embrace even more than that— her quirky personality.
From small town girl, to a performer on stage as a drag queen and a Dynamite in the musical Hairspray, from her journey to homelessness to recognizing what really comes important to her, she has led quite the life in the last 3 decades, but she remains an open book about it all. She's always been considered a bit larger than life with her approach to fashion and her soulful singing voice. She uses this as a reminder that no matter where you come from, you can be whoever you want to be (even a deaf rock n roller!)
If she's not creating something, which most of the time she is, she is either eating pasta, drinking wine, playing with her boys (a frenchton and a blue heeler), or some combo of the above.
She lives for the romance and beauty of life and strives to embody that in everything that she does.
